Services:

I. Infrastructure & eHealth Technology Development:

  • eHealth Technology to improve operational ability of health care systems in regions of the Caribbean and Latin America. CPHC is conducting a pilot project, utilizing videophones in rural clinics in the Republic of Suriname, for the purpose of interconnecting medical facilities. The use of Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is one of the many ways that medical facilities which are located in hard to reach areas, can begin to communicate more effectively, and share medical records for early diagnosis and treatment, and prevention. Contact us to learn more about the use of VoIP in health care facilities.

  • Outreach Health Clinic Program Management Information System Software, provided to improve capacity for health care professionals to collect patient data, track disease, provide health care information, health literacy education and more.

  • Technical Assistance to guarantee sustainability of Caribbean and Latin American eHealth programs utilizing VoIP. CPHC has established a Computer Donation Program in order to provide rural health care facilities with adequate tools for the use of Information Technology and ensure global connections.

II. Capacity Building:

Our programs also provide the following:

  • Outreach Health Clinics (Mobile, Prefabricated or Retrofit) to increase access to care.

  • Initial training and on-going technical support for our “Caribbean Public Health Clinic” Program.

  • Skills building to effectively manage programs and efficiently utilize organizational resources.

III. Education & Training:

  • We place students of Caribbean and Latin American descent with accredited graduate academic public health programs and facilitate Optional Practical Training with internationally recognized public health organizations.

  • We offer internships for students interested in hands-on learning experiences and provide opportunities to explore a professional career in public health. Internships are available for both undergraduate students and students enrolled in graduate public health programs, requiring an internship experience. Each year a number of stipends are available for students depending on their status.
